Woks are a traditional cooking utensil used throughout South East Asia - but brass woks are only found in Thailand. There are so many advantages attached to brass woks:

They do not require seasoning.
They are sturdy and do not rust.
They can be used for display, cooking and serving.
Brass is relatively inert, which means it does not react easily with acids - minimizing the tainting of flavours. It does however oxidize and may cause discolouration of a certain product i.e olive oil.
Although you can use a wok on an electric plate far better results are obtained when cooking with gas.
After being washed, Brass Woks are easily polished by rubbing with a small piece of Tamarind pulp, and then rinsing.
